Active Email
You must provide an active email where you can receive your NBI Account Activation Link and other important email messages from NBI. Make sure that your email is active and you have 24/7 access to your email before you provide it in the NBI Clearance Online Application.
Active Mobile Number
You must provide an active mobile number and verify it with an OTP during NBI Online Registration. The NBI will notify with an SMS (and email) when you complete appointment booking, fee payment and also when your NBI Clearance is ready to collect from the NBI Office.
Personal Information

NBI Clearance Requirements for NBI Appointment
During the Online Clearance Application, you need to fill up online application form, book NBI appointment and pay the clearance fee. After fee payment, the next step is to visit the NBI Office to complete your appointment and collect your NBI Clearance.
Before you go to the NBI Office to attend your appointment, you must meet its requirements and documents given as under_
NBI Reference Number
After you book your NBI Appointment, you need to select your desired payment method for NBI Clearance Fee Payment. As you click on Proceed, a unique NBI Reference Number will be generated and show up on screen.
You must note down or take screenshot of NBI Reference Number. Because you have to show the 10-digit NBI reference number at the NBI Office when you visit it for your NBI Clearance Appointment.
Fee Payment Receipt
When you pay the NBI Clearance Fee Online, an e-receipt will appear on screen. You must take screenshot and print the fee payment receipt. If you pay the fee offline, you can get a paper receipt. You must carry the payment receipt and submit it at the NBI Office during appointment.
Note: The first time job seekers can’t get the fee payment receipt as they do not need to pay the fee. They can get their first NBI Clearance for free.
Online Clearance Application Form Print Copy
When you complete NBI Clearance Online Application, you should print the application form. You need to carry it to the NBI Office on your appointment day.
Two Valid Government-Issued IDs
When you go to the NBI Office for your appointment, you must carry two valid Government-Issued IDs from the list of IDs given here. Please carry the Original IDs as the NBI authority will check it for your identity verification. Here I provide the list of valid IDs for NBI Clearance as under_

Barangay Certificate [First Time Job Seekers]
The first time job seekers are required to submit Barangay Certificate at NBI Office on their clearance appointment day. The Barangay Certificate can be obtained from a local Barangay Office/Hall. The Barangay Certificate confirms that you are a first time job seeker, eligible for Fee Exemption in NBI Clearance Application Process.
Letter of Invitation or Visa Copy [If Applicable]
The NBI may check the Letter of Invitation or Visa Copy if your NBI Clearance Purpose is traveling abroad or going to abroad for higher studies/work purposes.
Additional Documents [If requested by NBI]
The NBI may request for additional documents if the authorities need more documents for your background check and criminal records assessment. You need to provide all the documents requested to complete the verification process and obtain the NBI Clearance.
