How to Cancel NBI Appointment
You have booked an NBI Appointment, but now you are not able to attend it and want to cancel your appointment. So, the question is, can you cancel NBI Appointment?
The answer to this question depends upon your fee payment status. Let me explain it further.
Cancel NBI Appointment Before Fee Payment
If you have booked NBI Appointment online and selected the offline fee payment option, then you have a chance to cancel your NBI Appointment. Because you have not paid the fee yet.
To cancel an NBI Appointment online, you need to login to NBI website and follow the instructions given here.
- Go to NBI website @clearance.nbi.gov.ph.
- Sign In with your Email and Password.
- Go to Ongoing/Pending Application.
- Select Edit/Update option.
- Select Cancel option to cancel your NBI Appointment.
- If you see Cancel Application option, click on it to cancel your clearance application and appointment simultaneously.
Cancel NBI Appointment Online
At the time of NBI Appointment booking, the last option is to pay the NBI Fee. If you select to pay NBI Appointment fee online, you must pay online before 24 hours of your appointment day.
As per NBI Rules, if you fail to complete the fee payment before 24 hours of the appointment schedule, your NBI Appointment and clearance application will be cancelled automatically.
So if you are not able to attend NBI Appointment, then do not pay the fee and your Appointment will be canceled automatically.
Cancel NBI Appointment After Fee Payment
The NBI does not allow you to cancel NBI Appointment after fee payment. There is no way to cancel your booked/confirmed NBI Appointment once the fee is paid.
Can I Reschedule NBI Appointment?
No, you cannot reschedule NBI Appointment after you pay the fee. Even if you have missed your appointment, the NBI does not allow you to reschedule NBI Appointment.
If you have not paid the fee then you can cancel NBI Appointment Online at NBI website or by avoiding fee payment in the given time. Thereafter you can apply for NBI Clearance again and book a new appointment but the reschedule option is not available for anyone.
Can I Get My Fee Refund from NBI?
No, the NBI Clearance Fee is fully non-refundable. It means that the NBI will never refund the fee after you have paid it. As per NBI Rules, the applicant must pay the fee to confirm their Clearance Application and Appointment. In case the applicant changes their mind and want to cancel/update the application/appointment, the NBI does not provide any option to do it.
In short, after you pay the fee to NBI, there is no way to get it back. The NBI does not refund the fee amount under any circumstances to any applicant.
What Can I Do After Missing NBI Appointment?
The National Bureau of Investigation provides walk-in option to applicants who missed NBI Appointment for a valid reason. In case you booked an appointment, paid the fee and missed your appointment, you can simply walk-in to the NBI Office on next working day to complete your NBI Clearance Application Process.
The NBI offers “Walk-in to NBI Office” option up to 15 days after missing the appointment. If you fail to visit the NBI Office to complete the process in 15 days, the NBI will cancel your clearance application.
